— As the site of a former bowls club, the location of this development has long been associated with carefully manicured greenery. Jack Merlo extended this tradition through a series of landscapes which tied the SJB-designed four-level apartment building and 25 townhouses together into one seamless environment.

Beyond providing mere ornamentation, the studio was brought in at an early stage of the masterplan to ensure that the landscape architecture also helped to define individual addresses and enhance areas of circulation.

The studio’s extensive work included private courtyards for all townhouses, timber elements around barbecues, an elevated pool, and planters around the boundaries to integrate with the serenity of the surrounding tree-lined residential precinct.
